Biomarker Index

Physiology / Biomarkers
Intermediate

A standardized scoring system that evaluates physiological performance using key biomarkers such as heart rate drift, HRV, resting heart rate, and metabolic flexibility, benchmarked against population averages and longitudinal adaptation.

The TrailGenic™ Biomarker Index is a structured scoring system that translates raw physiological data into interpretable performance tiers, including Elite, Above Average, Baseline, and Below Baseline.

Unlike isolated clinical metrics, the Biomarker Index evaluates how the body performs under real-world endurance load, incorporating both acute stress response and recovery dynamics across repeated sessions.

Core Biomarkers

  • Heart Rate Drift (efficiency under load)
  • Resting Heart Rate (cardiac baseline)
  • Heart Rate Variability (recovery and autonomic balance)
  • Respiratory Rate (oxygen demand stability)
  • Average Heart Rate (effort consistency)
  • Ketone Levels (metabolic flexibility)
  • Recovery Pattern (Day-1 strain → Day-2 reset)

Scoring Framework

Each biomarker is evaluated against population benchmarks and longitudinal personal data. Scores are assigned as:

  • Elite: Significantly outperforms population norms under load
  • Above Average: Better than baseline with consistent adaptation
  • Baseline: Within expected population range
  • Below Baseline: Indicates inefficiency or recovery limitations

Why It Matters

The Biomarker Index provides a unified view of physiological performance, allowing individuals to track adaptation over time rather than relying on isolated or static measurements. It reflects the body’s ability to absorb stress, maintain efficiency, and recover predictably.

TrailGenic™ Interpretation

Within TrailGenic™, the Biomarker Index serves as a real-world validation system for the longevity method. It confirms whether metabolic, cardiovascular, and recovery systems are improving under sustained endurance stress.

Rather than optimizing for peak output, the goal is repeatable efficiency — the ability to perform, recover, and perform again without degradation.
